Founder, Speech and Language Therapist

Moving from a small village in Eastern Canada to London was an exciting adventure, and I’ve been amazed by the energy and life of the city ever since. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to follow my passion here in London with the opportunity to start The Children’s Place. From the very beginning, I’ve been surrounded by an exceptional team of therapists who share my dedication to supporting little ones and their familieshelping them grow, learn, and thrive.

My journey into supporting children with communication challenges began at a small autism centre in Canada, where I worked intensively with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders. It was extremely rewarding to be a part of each child’s development as they grew and blossomed in their ability to communicate. The opportunity to work with both parents and children to help develop relationships in the children’s lives was an amazing journey to be a part of and solidified my commitment to the world of therapy. Since then, I’ve worked in a variety of settings including private paediatric clinics, schools, child development centres, and children’s hospitals.

I hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Dalhousie University in Canada, along with an undergraduate degree in Biology and Psychology. I also hold a postgraduate certificate in Applied Behaviour Analysis and am passionate about combining evidence-based approaches from different disciplines to support children in the most effective, holistic way possible.

From early on in my career, I recognised the incredible progress that can happen when therapists work together across disciplines. In therapy, we can’t isolate just one part of the brain or one area of development. Whether we are Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), Behaviour Analysts or ABA tutors, sharing strategies and drawing on the strengths of each profession helps us all grow. It enhances our work and leads to better outcomes for the children we support. I knew I wanted to work with professionals who shared this passion for collaboration and lifelong learning and that’s how The Children’s Place was born.

While I’ve always been passionate about supporting children’s development, my journey became even more personal when I became a mother. As a mum to three energetic boys who keep me on my toes, I understand firsthand the joys and challenges that come with raising neurodiverse children. One of my sons has a diagnosis of a rare form of Epilepsy, ADHD, and Dyslexia, while another has ADHD. Being part of a neurodiverse family has given me a unique perspective as a therapist and has deepened my empathy and understanding for the families I support.

When I’m not working on improving and expanding our support at The Children’s Place, you’ll most likely find me outdoors. I love hiking in the mountains, and doing just about anything that gets me out in nature. I’m also passionate about travel meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and experiencing everything this incredible world has to offer.

I feel incredibly privileged to have worked with amazing families from all over the world and am honoured to walk alongside them on their journeys. I truly believe every family deserves access to high-quality, compassionate therapythe kind of care I would want for my own children. I look forward to continuing to support your little ones in reaching their full potential
