ABA Tutor

Namaste! I work as an ABA tutor in the magical city of London! I grew up in India, a beautiful country known for its diverse cultures and ethnicities. I studied in different states in India and met amazing people throughout my life. I heard about ABA from one of my friends, and my interest doubled every time I read about ABA. Finally, I decided to become an ABA tutor and moved to the UK.

I completed a diploma course in Pharmacy in India and worked as a pharmacist in a government-run hospital for children, which had patients ranging from the common cold to cancer. Talking to these children brought me closer to the psychological aspect of life. I began to view the world with a new lens of psychology in understanding an individual’s behaviour and decided to explore this field by pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in India.

To specialise further, I pursued a master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Bangor University in North Wales. After strengthening my basics in ABA, I moved to London and worked in a school setting for both primary and secondary age groups with special needs. I gained practical knowledge of behaviour management and developed appropriate play and language skills by applying the theoretical concepts of ABA in the school. I also gained experience in using different ways of communication like PECS & Makaton.

I love working with little ones, was always drawn towards Early Intervention programmes, and therefore started my journey at The Children’s Place as an ABA tutor. I am looking forward to gaining the required competencies to become a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA).

When I’m not working, I love being outdoors, exploring the mesmerising city of London and trying different cuisines. If not dressed up and around London, you will probably find me outdoors doing yoga!
